Ian Tribick leads Materion’s Precision Optics business segment, a global leader in customized optical thin-film coatings and components for the photonics industry. He has served in this role since late 2019. In addition, he serves as the Company’s CTO, a role he has held since 2017.
Since joining Materion in 2007, Dr. Tribick has held a number of technology, operations and general management leadership positions at the corporate level and within three different Materion businesses.
Collectively, Dr. Tribick has more than 35 years of experience in research, technology innovation, engineering, operations, global business development and general management in advanced technology companies in North America and Europe. Earlier in his career, he held roles at AVX/Kyocera Corp, Interconnection Systems Ltd and Endress+ Hauser GmbH.
A native of the United Kingdom, Dr. Tribick is a graduate of the University of Leeds, where he earned both his bachelor’s and doctorate degrees in materials science and engineering.
